Sometimes, it's not all about the brand, the fancy packaging or buying the most expensive product. Once in a while you may come across a little gem that isn't highly priced, or fancy like some of the other products out there. And this is one such product.
Witch claim that it is "The ultimate in blemish control" and it "helps break down excess oils and fight the bacteria that cause spots, making it the perfect targeted treatment for when a blemish makes an appearance, and it gets to work instantly"
This product has been a staple in my skincare routine for months now, so after re-purchasing it for the millionth time, I thought that now would be a good time to review it, as I've really come to know with this product, and best of all? I love it!
The Witch naturally clear blemish stick is a little (it really is tiny) miracle worker. Costing only £2.89 for 10g, it's also one of the cheapest yet most effective spot treatments out there. What I love about this product (prepare to read the word 'love' a lot in this post) is that is really does "get to work instantly" as Witch claim. As soon as I see a little bit of redness or feel a mini-volcano forming, I dab this on. I've found that when I first apply it, your skin starts to tingle, but I just see this as a sign it's working because it's a soothing tingle, not a harsh sting. I often apply this just before I go to bed, and in the morning? Taa-daa! My skin looks so much better! The 'greasy' patch around a spot is almost non-existant, its less red and best of all? It's smaller! Now this is not to say the spot vanishes of your face completely (Please can somebody invent this?), no, it's still there, but it really is visibly reduced.
I love (there we go again) the size of this product. It's incy-wincy but this makes it perfect for on-the-go uses, to chuck in your handbag or, in my case, my school blazer pocket. The packaging is fuss-free, it comes in a little cardboard box (you can see in the pictures above!) and the actual product is in a little plastic tube with a screwy lid. This means that it won't fall of easily and smear over the contents of your handbag (we've all been there, it's not the best of fun) and it's also pretty sturdy, so practical packaging? I'm loving it!
The application of this product is really simple, you just unscrew the lid, push it up, and dab on either with your finger or using the tube. In the tube/pot the smell is really apparent. It smells very tea-tree oily but also quite alcohol-ey, but this is just the witch hazel. Both tea tree and witch hazel, both natural spot fighting ingredients.
Overall, I would recommend this product to anybody who gets the occasional or frequent breakout, who's looking for a cheap, effective and on-the-go miracle worker. You can buy it here or you can click here to head over to Witch's website to check out some of their other miracle workers.
Much love, Lauryn x
