"Oh! I do like to be beside the seaside" - A day out in a littleseaside town, Whitstable

"Oh! I do like to be beside the seaside
I do like to be beside the sea!
I do like to stroll upon the Prom, Prom, Prom!
Where the brass bands play: "Tiddely-om-pom-pom!"

So just let me be beside the seaside
I'll be beside myself with glee
For there's lots of girls besides,
I should like to be beside
Beside the seaside! Beside the sea!"

I thought this song was rather appropriate seeing as I spent last Saturday afternoon at a cute little seaside town in Kent called Whitstable! Its full of beautiful little vintage shops, book stores and charity shops in a little cobble high street. So as per usual I took my trusty camera along and snapped away to my hearts content (and to my families annoyance!) in order to share a little snippet of my day with you!

My little brother decided to pose for the picture-aw bless him!

Is it just me who has a little (by that, I mean extremely large) obsession with bunting - floral bunting in particular? Whitstable is full of little shops with bunting hanging up which is most likely the reason I love this little seaside town so much!

These pastel coloured houses were too hard to resist taking a photo of - I felt like I was in an episode of Balamorie!

My inner bookworm could not walk past this little second hand bookshop without having a sniff or taking a picture - so I did both! The smell of second hand/old books is one of my favourite smells - just me?!

Here's another picture of some pretty bunting (as expected!)

Here's a retro music store which I am forever wishing to be cool enough (Like Patrick and Sam from The Perks of Being a Wallflower) to go into and hunt out some decent music.

I have decided that when I am older I want to live in a beach hut decorated with floral bunting, fairy lights and parma violets candles. I would sit in a Cath Kidston arm chair reading a good book and watching the sunset. Hmm, well, I can dream...

A seaside trip wouldn't be complete without a generic photo of some fishing net!

I may not be a big fan of Oysters but this handwritten arrow was very cute! Especially the way the letters are crammed in at the end, haha.

Here's a picture of my mum and dad with the sunset behind them - I love this photo so much!

That's my day out at the seaside I hope you enjoyed seeing a little snippet of my life - I am going to leave you with a pretty picture of the sunset,

Much love, Lauryn x
