L'Oreal claim that,"Used by make-up artists, the 'micellar' solution swiftly removes all traces of make-up and acts like a purifying magnet on skin's surface to capture and draw out excess oil and impurities. So gentle, skin feels soothed and toned.".
As a teenager, my pocket money doesn't always enable me to buy the high-end-ish products. Thus, before spending out on the infamous Bioderma Sensibio H20 Micelle Solution or Caudalie Make-Up Remover Cleanser Water I felt I should buy a cheaper alternative to one of these so I could test out whether these Micellar solutions lived up to the hype surrounding them.
And I have not been disappointed. Many regular make up removers leave your face with a greasy residue, redness or a stinging sensation. This product does none of that. Unlike many make up removers which contain a high percentage of alcohol, this micellar solution contains no alcohol, which is the reason your skin does not feel sore. L'Oreal claim this product works on sensitive skin, and although I don't have sensitive skin myself, I am certain it would live up to its claims.
This product could easily be mistaken for water. However, compared to cleansing your face with water, this product is a little miracle worker. No longer to I have to spend minutes rubbing my skin to death - I pour a little bit onto a cotton pad, hold over my eyes/lips for a few seconds and then swipe it - and it ALL comes off! This cleanser does not even make your skin 'sticky' in the slightest and it is perfect for those nights when you cannot be bothered to go through your entire skincare routine! (It's okay, we all have those can't-be-bothered days!)
As for the smell, I've think this cleanser smells a lot like bubble mixture. Whether this is just me, I don't know haha, so let me know in the comments!
The RRP is supposedly £4.99, however every time I've spotted this in Boots it has been on offer for £3.33! And for 200ml, it will last you ages! All in all, an utter bargain!
Much love, Lauryn
