Well hello there! Today's post is going to be a bit of a mish-mash of thoughts (ramble certain) as I am currently mid-exam week, so I am sitting at my desk typing away at my computer, face-timing my friend about the colossal amount of work we've been given, all whilst 'attempting' some history revision. Hey, us woman are known to multi-task! and a little introduction into how my blog runs - all stemming from my blogging notebook. I have had a few people ask me where I find my inspiration - so I sat down and thought about it. At first, the obvious influences came to light (yes, I am talking to you, my beloved monthly Company magazine) but when I had a little think I came to the conclusion that inspiration is everywhere. It may be flicking though a magazine, seeing somebody else walk down the street, hearing part of somebody else's conversation or reading other blogs. I know that magazines, books and the internet are my top three inspiration sources but there are so many more! And if I'm honest? inspiration is needed, but it shouldn't be a necessity If you're stuck on what to write then you shouldn't force it - you can always tell if a blog post has been written without passion!
I am not an arty person. No way on earth would I consider myself creative. Yet, somehow, this little notebook turned out rather beautiful if I say so myself! I spent a Saturday afternoon cutting up my old company magazines (cry) and collaging them onto the front cover of this notebook which I brought for £1 from my local co-op - an absolute bargain! I use my notebook to quickly jot down ideas, keep a rough schedule and doodle. (P.S. I apologise in advance for the photos - miserable and rainy autumn evenings do not provide the best light for photos!)
Look at the lips and milkshake! haha, this was in actual fact my Grandad's idea so Hats off to you Grandad!
I've tried to incorporate some of the main aspects of my blog - "beauty", "book love" and "fashion" which are all "obsessions" of mine, haha!
Below are the lists where I jot down any ideas I have for my blog - so here you have a little sneak peak at what's to come! let me know what you're looking forward to the most, I'd love to know!:-)
Everything and everything I think of goes down in this notebook - its so handy! This page shows you what I've been doodling in terms of blog logo designs etc - I'm thinking a typewriter (with the themes of my blog on the paper!), a cup of tea and candles - all very me-ish things!
Finally, and possibly one of the most important pages of my notebook, my (rough) schedule! i say rough because as school keeps me drowning in work 24/7 I have to alter some days because some posts take more time to write (i.e. the crafty ones!) but hopefully next week once some of my exams have finished I can post a crafty type of post - let me know whether you fancy the memory jar or teacup candle first!
Thanks for having a read and I hope this had inspired you to create your own blogging notebook with a bit of a twist - we all need that extra bit of inspo sometimes!
Much love, Lauryn x
