I think I'll follow a Mean Girls speech on this one. Oh and quick disclaimer if you will, this is predicted to be a post filled heavily with 'Thank you's" and generally a lot of soppy sentences.
500 followers. Wow. When I started this little blog on August 12 last year, I never though that I would get 50 followers, yet alone 500. I can't believe this day has come. That so many of you would choose to follow my random ramblings really makes my heart very happy. In 6 days' time I will have been blogging for 5 months. That's 100 followers a month, which equates to around 3 followers a day. Although much as the numbers don't bother me a great deal, it is lovely to know that you enjoy my blog enough to hit that follow button.
I'm going to go Mean Girls style with this one. Let's imagine that the Spring Fling Queen Crown is one big thank you hug. I would like to share that hug with every single one of you. Every little tweet, comment, email and follow always manage to put a huge smile on my face and makes me extremely happy to think that people are reading my ramblings. A piece of the crown goes to my family; for listening to me ramble on about blog post ideas, for triple proof reading posts and always going me snippets of encouragement. Without you, I wouldn't have had the courage to press the big orange 'publish' button for the first time. Another part of the thank you hug crown goes to the 7 wonderful friends who I have confided in with the knowledge of my little blog. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't receive an out of the blue 'I love your new post!' text and I wouldn't have anyone to squeal with when I reached 100 followers, or when a PR brand contacted me for the first time. And the final piece of this crown goes to the entire blogging community. Over the past few months I've truly found my place in the bloggosphrre. I'm in a place where I have friends I can tweet with woes and within minutes have a reply that dissipates all of my worries. Friends that share my passion for writing, my addiction to skincare, my love for books and make up, and at the end of the day, my need for perfect grammar. The blogging community has enabled me to discover some amazing blogs that I check on a daily basis, without mentioning the abundance of amazing bloggers ho I know consider to be some of my true friends.
If I had a budget as big as Simon Cowell, then rest assure each and every one of you would be receiving a big box of lush goodies, a £100 voucher to Boots and my top ten books. But seeing as I'm no Simon Cowell and simply a 14 year old girl from England, my £5 a week pocket money doesn't quite stretch that far. But let's be soppy and say that in our hearts, we all deserve this prize.
So as a huge thank you I have put together a little giveaway made up of prizes that girls a cross the nation love. I was considering going down the incredibly stereotypical blogger route of giving away a MAC lippy (which doesn't make them any less great) but instead I chose a few of my favourite things from my favourite shops.
So, what does this giveaway include I hear you ask? The giveaway includes:
A gorgeous Cath kidston notebook to kick the new year off with; whether this be a new blogging notebook or a doodling notebook, it's perfect for pretty much every girl out there.
Lush 'Shoot for the Stars' bath bomb. One of my personal favourites; an abundance d glitter and colours reminiscent of Joseph and the technicolor eainxoat; it leaves your bathroom smelling amazing and your skin energised and soft.
A travel sized soap and glory 'Flake Away' scrub is probably the nicest smelling body scrub in the world. It's perfect for getting rid of those cobwebs from wearing trousers all winter!
Travel sized soap and glory 'Butter me' body lotion this body lotion not only smells delicious but it's one of the best body 'butters' out there.
Travel sized soap and glory 'Clean on Me' body wash Carrying on with the Soap and Glory theme (don't' worry I'm not saying you smell bad) is the soap and glory 'clean on me' body wash. It's really foamy and like all soap and glory products, smells eat-worthy.
A Vintage cosmetics nail file. Use this to prim and prep your nails-it's a bit of vintage glam as the Vintage Cosmetics Company's designs are the perfect eye candy.
One Yankee candle tart in 'Christmas Cookie' This from the most famous candle company in the world and smells quite literally of cookie. Again with the nice smelling theme, it's eat-worthy.
One Yankee candle tart in 'Pink Dragonfruit' This is again a Yankee wax tart that smells amazing, almost a fruity smell to match the bright pink colour.
However, there are a few rules to this giveaway:
- This Giveaway is UK ONLY because worldwide postage is extortionate (I'm sorry)
- If you are under 16 then you must have parents/guardians permission to enter so they don't think its somebody creepy sending stuff to your house.
- This giveaway is open to everybody, apart from SPAM or COMPETITION ACCOUNTS.
- Any invalid entries will be removed.
Once again, a huge thank you, and best of all? GOOD LUCK!
